   What is Rotaract?
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored community service club and our Rotaract focuses on giving back to the Merced community since we are based within UC Merced. We take part in service events like making houses for those in need (Habitat For Humanity), feeding the homeless, and volunteering at the SPCA animal shelter. We also help with international projects like raising money to help Heart Afire Foundation provide for children in Nicaragua, raising cancer awareness, and helping fundraisers for polio vaccines in countries still in need, etc.

Our Rotaract club is unique in a sense that the structure of the club is different. Once a member joins the club, they will be matched up with a family. Families are groups of members within the club and there will be around 5 or so families (depending on how many members we have). We have socials for families and the club as a whole to bond. We do this so that the members do not burn out from our community service events all the time. As well as to keep a happy community within the Rotaract Club.
