Bobcats in ACTIon

What is Bobcats in Action?

Traditionally known as Bobcat Attack, Bobcat Attack has been renamed to Bobcats in Action in sponsorship with OSL and Civic Leadership as a university event for service and kindness to one another in memory of the horrific stabbing event that occurred on November 4th, 2015 at UC Merced.
Bobcats in Action has been an annual tradition here at UC Merced. It is held once a year at around spring time and is the bridge that
allows the University and the city of Merced to work together towards a beautiful and more tight knit community.

What do we do during Bobcat in Action?

During Bobcats in Action, various clubs at UC Merced take on various community service opportunities across Merced. Some of which include:
  • Helping take care of the animals at the SPCA
  • Planting flowers all over Merced
  • Help clean the homeless shelters
  • Helping and socializing with the elderly at Park Merced
  • Helping build homes for Habitat for Humanity
  • And much more!

It is our job as Rotaractors to organize everybody and make this community service event go as smoothly as possible. Helping the community is our number one priority, and what better way to get everyone involved to make a difference!
